Currently, your device must be connected to an App Store or Google Play Store in the UK, US, Australia or Ireland to install the NHS App.
Please confirm that your device's Play Store/Apple ID is linked with one of the above countries in your phone's Settings.
If not, there is guidance on how to update it here:
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201389
https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7431675?hl=en-GB
If you are unable to amend this, you can instead access your NHS account through the NHS website.
The verification process for this is optimized for smartphones or tablets, where you are required to use the device's camera to upload your Photo ID and record a short video of yourself. You can also take advantage of this if your desktop/laptop computer has a webcam.
As an alternative way to register for a login, you can contact your GP surgery and ask for registration details for their GP online services:
- linkage key (also called a 'third-party passphrase')
- ODS code
- account ID
Your GP surgery will ask you to prove who you are with at least one document of identification.
