Losing existing access can sometimes happen if there was an internal update on your GP surgery’s clinical system.
We'd recommend you delete your existing NHS account, contacting your GP surgery so they can reset your online patient account then creating a new NHS account. This process often clears any connectivity issues within your account and your GP health record.
You can delete your NHS account in the NHS App by following the steps below.
- Select the Account icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Select Settings.
- Select Manage NHS account.
- Select Login and security settings.
- Then select Delete my NHS login.
IMPORTANT:
After you have deleted your NHS login:
- you will not be able to access other websites or apps that use NHS login (you may have to set up a new NHS login if you want to continue using them)
- those services might keep some information about you
Once completed, you can re-register your account and complete the steps to verify yourself again.
