For 12-15 year olds who have received a full course of an approved COVID-19 vaccination in England, can request an NHS COVID Pass letter online via NHS.uk or by calling 119, or by asking a parent or guardian to request the letter on their behalf.
A digital version of the NHS COVID Pass is available via the NHS.UK website for those aged 12 and over and via the NHS App for those aged 13 and over.
The NHS COVID Pass letter will be sent to the 12-15 year olds using the address recorded on their GP record. Parents and guardians are advised to check that the young person’s registered address is up to date before requesting a NHS COVID Pass letter on their behalf. The letter can take between five to seven working days to arrive.
Few countries require a full primary course of the COVID-19 vaccine for under 16s. Some countries treat under 16s as meeting vaccine requirements fully – currently including Iceland, Switzerland and Montenegro. Other countries will accept testing and a very small number will accept proof of prior infection (sometimes known as proof of recovery), to allow under 16s to be treated as meeting vaccine requirements.
